1. Introduction

Welcome to Amma Veetu Virunthu — your daily home-cooked food service based in Thoraipakkam, Chennai. By subscribing to any of our meal plans, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your subscription.

2. Service Coverage

We currently deliver within Thoraipakkam and nearby OMR areas. Free delivery is available within 3 km of our kitchen. Delivery charges may apply for locations beyond 3 km. We reserve the right to decline orders outside our service zone.

3. Meal Plans

We offer the following subscription plans:

  • 3 வேளை வீட்டுச்சாப்பாடு — Three home-cooked meals per day (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
  • ஆரோக்கிய பெட்டி — Daily health & nutrition box (Morning delivery)
  • Daily Chappathi — Evening chappathi with side dish
  • Idiyappam Plan — Breakfast idiyappam with gravy

Menus are not fixed. Items rotate daily based on fresh seasonal ingredients and availability.

4. Delivery Timings

  • Breakfast & Arogiya Petti: 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Lunch: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
  • Dinner / Chappathi: 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Timings may vary slightly based on route and location. No delivery on Sundays — missed days are adjusted automatically.

5. Subscription & Payment

All subscriptions must be paid in advance before service begins. Payment details are shared via WhatsApp after order confirmation. We accept UPI, bank transfer, and cash. Orders are not confirmed until payment is received.

6. Tiffin / Packaging

You may choose from:

  • Our Tiffin Boxes — A one-time refundable deposit is charged. Containers are swapped/collected daily.
  • Own Tiffin Carrier — Bring your own; we collect and swap daily. Free of charge.
  • Parcel Bag — Use & throw packaging. Extra charge applies per meal.

Our tiffin containers are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised daily before reuse.

7. Pause & Flexibility

You can pause or adjust your subscription with prior notice (minimum 1 day in advance). Paused days will be adjusted within the remaining subscription period. No refunds for last-minute cancellations without notice.

8. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds for unused days will be processed within 3–5 business days, after deducting the cost of 2 days of service. Tiffin deposit is fully refundable upon return of containers in good condition.

9. Food Safety & Hygiene

All meals are prepared in a home kitchen following traditional recipes and hygiene standards. We do not use artificial preservatives or additives. Customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions should inform us before subscribing.

10. Accuracy of Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery addresses and contact information. We are not liable for missed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete details.

11. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to update pricing, service area, or menu with prior notice. Existing subscribers will be informed before any changes take effect.
